Weigh In…Week 5
February 27th, 2007 @ 10:49 am

Last week I didn’t weigh in because it was my birthday week. Yes, I was indulging in cupcakes and cookies and only exercised once. So, that’s my bye-week. The NFL gets them, and I declare I do as well! I did wake up early and hit the fitness center this morning, as well as planned out my meals for the day, so hopefully I’m back on track.

1/1=162
1/8=159
1/15=158
1/22=156
1/31=154
2/6=152
2/13=150
2/27=149

Obviously my lack of exercise and undisciplined eating habits have proven themselves in the fact I’ve only lost one pound in the last two weeks, but at least we’re now in the final 10-pound stretch. Just 9 pounds to go! I have had to purchase some new pants, and am proud to say I am now consistently a size 10 in Gap, Old Navy and New York & Co.

How’s it going with you?

I have had to purchase some new pants, … TMI!

Little lucy is doing better, they are no longer worried about her kidneys and don’t think the damaged blood vessels in her bowels will need surgery to repair. She’s making steady progress in regaining her strength. Ian and Caroline are regaining their strength too, did I tell you they are following in our footsteps and going to Asbury in June?

[for those who don't know - "pants" in the UK is underwear....I got in trouble a lot while we were in scotland for saying pants!]

i began my journey the week before christmas - at 161. i am now, as of yesterday, 144. my goal is 141. i finally got into a pair of pants i’ve been dying to wear for years…. don’t know what size they are because they’re men’s plaid pants from goodwill (which i just posted a picture of) :-) but i know my size 10’s are too big. and even some 8’s are as well. i think i must be a 7. anyway, sounds like you’re taking it off slow, which is the right way…. i don’t exercise like i should - i walked a little the first month or so. and bought one of those exercise balls… have yet to do my sit-ups like planned. but have been very disciplined in eating.. it’s almost scary.

thanks for posting your “stats”. it’s encouraging. i got encouragement from dustin’s lard off - i’m not video-ing my scale - not that high tech - but am posting a picture of it every monday. i feel like my bloggy friends hold me accountable - i tend to think about the food choices i make knowing that the world will be looking on monday. ;-)

My wife and I just started back on Weight Watchers today (I lost 50 lbs. in 2002 but have gained 25 of them back, and my wife wants to lose the pounds pregnancy put on but didn’t take away). Hopefully we both can have some success like yours.

Great job Anne! Don’t lament about losing “only” 1 pound. I’m sure you would have liked a better number but hey, its still in the lose column. Well done! Since Doug and I started this workout thing about 2 weeks ago, I’m down 3 lbs. He’s down more. Figures.

    Wow…this is fantastic!

I am doing great…lost a couple more this month, so I am down 55 lbs now. I have kept off my 50 since October. Not easy, especially when I just found out the Ho-Hos now come with caramel swirl….sigh
