Weigh In Week 6
March 7th, 2007 @ 1:45 pm

To be honest, I was afraid to weigh myself today. Two and a half days eating nothing but big, heavy meals in Austin (plus having a dessert called “Big Chocolate Cake” delivered via room service) and no working out in the last five days is enough to make any girl trying to lose weight fearful of stepping on the scale of truth.

But, I was very, very surprised.

1/1=162
1/8=159
1/15=158
1/22=156
1/31=154
2/6=152
2/13=150
2/27=149
3/7=146

Total Weight Lost in 2007: 16 lbs
Total Weight Lost since Scotland Trip (9/06): 21 lbs

That seems SO unreal!  I don’t feel like I look any differently, but I do notice my pants (jeans for you Brits) are fitting a little more loosely.

How in the world did I lose 3 pounds eating cake and greasy nachos and extra cheesy pizza? I would guess that it was all the walking we did around town? That is the only thing that I can imagine. Either way, I am happy, and only one pound away from the high end of my goal weight range (140-145).

Woohoo!

How are you fools? :)

good for you! woo-hoo! i’m one of those people that if i even look, just look, at chocolate cake, greasy nachos or pizza, i instantly gain five pounds….

i was the exact same at weigh in on monday as i was the monday before…. 144. 17 pounds since the week before christmas. 3 more to go to get to my “goal.”

i didn’t walk last week, no exercise at all… and did eat mexican - too many chips…. i overate really. and that’s what i’ve been focusing on NOT doing. so i wasn’t surprised when i got on the scale. i was relieved that i hadn’t gained anything though.

so this week - i’ve stepped up the walking and the water…. and not overeating…..

thanks for the update…. very encouraging…. well, maybe not… i guess i am a little jealous that you can eat chocolate cake and still lose! ;-)

the cake and pizza might not have helped you but I’m convinced there are undiscovered but powerful health and weight-loss properties in nachos.

I’ve drastically increased my nacho intake in the last four months and lost 15 pounds. No exercise, no other change in eating habits.

Of course my doctor thinks the stress, depression and mystery illness that she is still trying to diagnose has something to with it… but I think it’s the nachos.

“notice my pants (jeans for you Brits) are fitting a little more loosely.” ;-) so glad for the clarification, loose pants can be a real danger!
