pre-sleep-journal-words
August 1st, 2007 @ 10:52 pm
tonight, i scribbled with red ink, on grey paper, in a sacred black journal, certain misconceptions i have allowed myself to believe. certain questions i have. a list of things confessing, repenting, and seeking wisdom.
one question in particular ended up being surrounded by many question marks…many question marks completed by big, dark, heavy dots on the bottom, as i filled in each circle thoughtfully until my pen nearly made a hole in the page.
what is the sacrifice YOU require of me, opposed to what man requires????

pre-sleep journal words are the best! usually i will wake up and re-read it and be like, ‘dang, what was that…. and when did i get so profound?’
often those sacrifices you speak of are very, very different. or the same, but for very, very different reasons.
looking forward to hear what the answer is as well.

You ask such brave, reckless, soul-risk-taking questions…
Lord have mercy=)

What if God’s response is along the lines of, “No, I’m good - but I really appreciate the offer” - where would you go with that?

When you say “man” I read “church”.

this is a very dangerous question to ask. there is way too strong of a chance that the answer will screw up all your plans for your life;)

I always write in my blog right before going to be at 1 or 2 in the morning.

That answer, I’m sure will answer many other questions as well…
When is your book coming out?! Like, can you make it tomorrow? Thanks.
