catching some Z
November 20th, 2007 @ 5:39 am

since i am still in my brain funk, i thought i’d share some good news with you guys before the holidays!

as you know, the book i am working on, mad church disease, will be released in february 2009.

i haven’t publicly (via blog) announced WHO the publisher is…

but why not today?

i am officially a zondervan author! woot!

z

the team there is amazing and they ooze creativity. they truly see this book as something that is needed in the church today! their excitement about the project keeps refueling my excitement about the project. i am so pumped to have such a strong partner for this adventure.

i am also VERY grateful for my agent beth jusino from alive communications. without beth’s knowledge of the industry, her passion for young writers and fresh ideas, and her willingness to hand-hold a rookie author, i would probably be neck-deep in things i don’t understand.

so those are a few things for which i am very thankful!!

what are you thankful for?

Hooray! Welcome to the Zondervan team! And hooray for Beth. I’m so glad that all worked out. She’s held my hand these many years!

    Sweetness.

I too am a Zondervan author. Mine isn’t really all that official though. Really what I mean by Zondervan author is that I write notes in the pages of Zondervan books.

Now that I think about it…I’m not so sure I really am a Zondervan author. Dangit.

    Hey, Anne ~

Congrats, again! I, too, am PUMPED about this project - for how you will grow through it and because so many of us will reap benefits from it. :)

Sooo…I am thankful for a God who loves me unconditionally, but still challenges me just when I need it; and, am thankful for an amazing wife. :)

Well done Anne, that is really an accolade. God wants this book and the ideas and the subsequent conversations to get out to the widest possible audience.

Zondervan is a great company. It’s so exciting that this is happening! It must be hard to know that it’s not coming out for another year.

I’m thankful that Thanksgiving break begins tomorrow… or officially tonight, after I finish babysitting and cleaning and packing. :-)

Anne - sweet news, can’t wait to read it. Zondervan is cool to me because they published Shane Claiborne, that had to be a risk.

I’m mainly thankful for my wife and my 3 hooligans (Eli, Eden and Silas).

Plus I got my hair cut and styled today, so I’m feeling a little cooler than I really am.

    Later!
    Terry
