winter whirlwind
December 9th, 2007 @ 1:42 pm

in my head:

fact: chris and i are moving in just a couple-esque weeks
fact: our boxes are pretty much packed
fact: my calendar has never looked so full with goodbye coffees, lunches, dinners, and christmas parties
fact: i am going to miss a lot of people a lot
fact: cats like scratching boxes and ripping them to shreds
fact: there are a lot of people i can’t wait to meet - and to get to know better
fact: i went to church online today
fact: craig doesn’t do a half bad aussie accent
fact: the above fact may or may not be true :) (i kid)
fact: we need to make about twenty trips to goodwill
fact: it is cold outside, so goodwill will wait
fact: the dallas mavericks played an awesome game last night
fact: when i was in high school, i wanted to be the first woman in the NBA (this was pre-WNBA days)

all of the above thoughts went through my head in the last 120 seconds.

i need a nap.

what’s up with you?

Oh girl, you think it’s cold there??? Try 24 here! And that’s the HIGH. It could be worse. LC could be located in the Dakota’s where it’s been negative somethings.

fact: I’m about to take a nap.
fact: It’s 35° outside and supposed to rain (with thunder) later.
fact: My todo list is dauntingly long for a weekend, so I’m procrastinating.
fact: I’ll only have one night this week where I get to come home right after work. The rest is filled with holiday-related stuff.
fact: 12/26 sounds good right about now.
fact: I leave on a cruise in about 30 days.
fact: 1/7/08 sounds even better right about now.

We are having a thunder sleet storm RIGHT NOW. CRAZY! I’ll be in the house for a few days, I’m sure. This Texas girl still does not drive in icy weather in Oklahoma.

I wanted to be the first woman in Major League baseball, no I didn’t play, I just wanted to be first. When A League of Their Own came out, I was jealous and devastated. I also wanted to be an astronaut until i read that the zero-gravity conditions make your legs really skinny like chicken legs. Then I decided to be a cheerleader.

Not doing ANY of those things for a living? Priceless.
