do you rinke?
January 31st, 2008 @ 9:44 pm

you should.

you can.

here.

this girl is my long lost sister.

we seem to go through the same things at the same time.

for instance, this month, she and i are both:

moving (chris and i are having to change apartments because of this).
traveling overseas (me-africa; her-china/india).
having birthdays (she’s 25. me, 28).

she wrote this today.

i couldn’t agree more.

would we ever step into moments that are too large for us if we knew how small we’d feel while we were in them?

that’s it. all the cool bloggers don’t capitalize anything. i’m getting rid of the shift keys on my keyboard…

…anyway…back to the question…while those moments are very scary, those are the moments that i cling to God the most. that’s a good thing. i think i’m going to continue to capitalize God.

i’d like to think that is the mentality i have every time i get to sit with someone and have a real talk about Jesus.

He is big…i am small - just how it should be.

The demise of capitalization can be directly correlated to the demise of family values. I’m sure of it. Why aren’t the politcos talking about this issue?

Anne » stop with the sending me to more great blogs! i already have a to-do list with leftovers at the end of the day … you’re not helping (or do I just need more self-discipline?)!

Sunny » interesting … i made a conscious decision on my blog to go lower case (except proper names) as an experiment to see if the “i vs God” system would be a constant reminder that God is bigger and needs to stay that way in my life.

it helps, but the experiment is still in progress …

I’ll second Kim (and can I mention how much I feel as though I know all of these characters in her life…) as a past co-worker of The Rinke, as well as an inspriee, discussant, editor, and part-time personal chef of hers.

    “She’s doing stuff, man.”

    Check her out!
