Last time I was working in the dump in Mexico, they called me the “orange woman”. I have red (orange) hair, my skin turned bright orange, and that day I wore an orange blouse!!! Oh, Did I mention, I was passing out orange jello!!!

Anti-malarial medicine often makes you even more sensitive to the sun. Sorry! Lather on aloe vera and you won’t peel as much AND it sooths.

as a blonde haired, blue eyed kid, i totally understand the pain…i’m the kid that thinks about going outside and gets burned, even under a blanket!

the thing i noticed about the picture is that you’re wearing some gear from SAGE…which just happened to at UMHB, my alma mater….small world.

Red. For Valentine’s. I feel your pain. I too am a fair skinned girl. The only thing that will really help is …real aloe vera from the goo of a leaf cut into, ice packs on the burn, aspirin. in that order. And beg, borrow or buy an umbrella. that’s the only way the spf 45 works on days like you are having. If anybody (guys) make fun of you for the umbrella, hit them with it. :-)

I was equally surprised at how my white skin reacted to African sun.
    It’s much more intense…and direct.

    Aloe does wonders, though. Hehe.

Soak up every single sound, every single scent you can. You’ll miss it when it’s gone.

On a separate note: Am I the only one keep seeing a blank white screen everytime I go to this page? It’s like I have to scroll to the middle of the page to see the first post.
