fire breathing demon babies
February 27th, 2008 @ 7:00 pm

i’ve been home sick today (not with infectious stomach parasites like some of my ugandan-travel-mates, rather what i have dubbed a “fire breathing demon baby” that has taken residence in my throat). i have left my bedroom once to get soup and that is it. no energy.

yet still needing to kind of function for a conference call at 4 pm today.

here’s what that looked like.

i can honestly say i have never had a conference call in sweats with a cat sleeping on me.

and i must be so overridden with ick that i am actually posting that photo….? with no makeup? eek.

anyway…

i’ve been playing around on twitter a lot today. so…if you tweet, add me!

Awww - your conference call looks — laid back? sorry couldn’t resist.
Gargle with saline water, stay hydrated and we believe that very spicy foods help burn out the germs - at least that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it! Nice cat -

    Hmmm…cat person eh?
    Changes a lot.

I hope that you can get rid of the fire breathing demon baby soon. I hear they are hard to get rid of once they take residence. Kind of like smokers.;)

    Feel better!

You look like Britney in this photo. Sorry. Even though Britney is a beautiful girl, I don’t know if you regard that as a compliment. It’s just that I thought you were posting a photo of Britney. Spears, that is.

I am amazed at your ability to have a sense of humor (and be able to blog), when you feel cruddy. I said a prayer for you.

I know exactly how you feel (minus the cat - he hides under the bed). I’ve got the same yuck, my 4 year old has a sinus infection and my 3 year old has strep throat. The wife is fine - except for taking care of all of us that is. Feel better soon!

I can’t imagine your email backlog now. Hope at least my email will get answered before 2009 LOL.

Pretty much everybody I know got some kind of flu/cold (including me) and it’s a pretty bad one too. There’s an article saying that current flu immunization doesn’t work either.
