road trips with ninjas
March 7th, 2008 @ 4:56 am

tomorrow, terry, zach (our digerati ninja) and i will road trip down to austin and meet up with bobby for the south by southwest interactive festival.

(yes, i wish i could stay for music and film. i really, really do)…

anyway, we are having an open, meet up type breakfast sunday morning at 8 am (yaaaawwwnnn!!) at las manitas in downtown austin. if you are going to be at sxsw or you just want to hang out with a bunch of techies, feel free to join us.

if you are planning on dropping by, can you email me here?

otherwise…i’ll try and get a little video going…these little road trips can be fun…

question to keep you busy over the weekend: what is your favorite blog (other than mine, of course…ha! just kidding!) and why?

It’s always raw, real, heartbreaking and yet still triumphant. Not for the the little ones, but a good reminder for us grown ups that most folks in this world hurt.

My absolute favorit blog in the world is my wife’s: kristenwright.blogspot.com. She doesn’t post as often as I would like, but when she does, I love it.

Number 2 blog has to be 6yearmed.blogspot.com. Sure, it’s lots of funny stories, but it’s also filled with wisdom and sincerity.

My own. Because I’m just that conceited.

Actually my favorite new “blog” isn’t even a blog at all. I’m really digging using Twitter to connect with people.

Extremely sharp wit, heavy on the sarcasm, daily pictures of Chuck, excellent taste in design, GREAT USE OF UPPERCASE WHEN APPROPRIATE!

Just a few reasons to read Heather’s blog. (And if you happen to run into her at SXSW and take a pic, my head will explode to see two of my favorite bloggers in one place.)

I’m so out of the demographic of those who read your blog - Anne of the good blog - I have to ‘fess that my all time reliable blogs are a variation on the Mom-blog but have good photography and “things” that relate to my real life, I am a person who loves God and lives in the country. DUH - how dorky does that sound?

My very favorite is Flowerdust.net, Anne! You motivate me and I truly love the way you express yourself. Because both our kids are awesome adults and live away, I’m energized by what you have to say. You make the world a better place. Thank you!

Lucky! I want to go back to Austin. But I HATED SXSW when I was at school in Austin. It was such a pain. Worst part of the year. At least ACL Fest was in South Austin.
