Woohoo & Your Prayer Requests!
July 23rd, 2008 @ 6:58 am

You guys are amazing! We had 118 books donated to the GO Ministries Pastors’ library. WOW! Thank you once again for being the church in practical ways and making a huge difference thousands of miles away!

Our team REALLY appreciates your prayers of support and encouragement along the way.

It was an amazing trip…and this week will be a crazy one of catching up on emails, blogs and comments. But I really can’t thank you enough.

I would be honored to spend some time praying for you this week and weekend…please let me know how in the comments.

Hi Anne. Welcome home. I loved the updates and pictures.

I’d love it if you would pray for me as I
    a) spend a little time with my husband tonight. We will have been together only about 6 days in July.

b)I leave tomorrow for Chicago - combo planning /spiritual/leadership retreat and I’m meeting with Dr. Bilezekian on Sat. (Beyond Sex Roles) and attending the newest Willow campus on Sunday. Pray that I hear from God, use my time well, learn, grow, and get some clearer direction on some things I feel God is calling me to do.

Thanks for praying. That is so precious.

    Hi Anne,
Please pray that God would help me form healthy friendships, and let go of the hurtful ones.
    Thanks!

I would love for you to pray for my son Wakeland as we have a consultation with a neurologist this afternoon. Pray that God will lead us in the right direction as we make critical decisions about upcoming procedures for him.

My church is in the midst of some pretty big budget cuts. It isn’t that the church is struggling in a big way, just trying to be proactive with the current economic situation. With that said, it does making losing a huge chunk of people any easier. We could definitely use prayer. Thanks Anne.

Wow. Sounds like your trip was amazing! I hope you post more about it. Maybe you could just fly all of us out to your house and we could have story time? just a thought. (a “yeah right!” thought.)

If you could pray that God would lead me to a way to use my photography to show people what you talked about, the despair and also the hope, that others live with every day. I would love to use my gift to help others, but I’m not sure how to even start… Thanks so much!

Also, to the comment above about “Wakeland”, first of all, what an awesome name! Also, I’ll be praying for him too.

Please pray for Revolution Church in Florence, SC. We are still developing core leaders, and getting ready to start small groups in homes. Just that God’s will be done in every aspect of our efforts. Basically, that he will move US out of the way, DO WHAT HE WANTS through us in this city.

    THANKS!! ;-)

I’m so glad you all had a great trip. I would’ve purchased a book for the library, but $ is tight and my order for Mad Church Disease was already placed. :)

I’m hoping you can meet my kids at church soon. We typically hit the 11am service, but are skipping around due to schedules. They are the ones who need your prayers. Their dad is moving to Hungary on Tuesday and will be gone for 4 yrs. He’s chosen money over his kids and it rips me apart. But it will be far harder on them. They just turned 3, so they dont really understand he is leaving. But when they dont see him every few days they get really upset. Jacob has started complaining of stomach aches and Emma of headaches. The child psychologist told me it was a normal part of stress for them. Well, if you could please pray that this transition over the next few months is as painless for them as possible, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks, Amy

Well I can’t really say no to an offer like this… :) I don’t really know where to start… I need wisdom in guidance in so many areas right now. I’m at that turning-point-age of 20, in college, engaged, lots of crazy decisions before me. What’s funny though is I am pretty sure of God’s plans for my life - that’s not the issue. The problem is that the enemy is fighting my body relentlessly because he doesn’t want me living the future he knows I will have in Christ. My health is spiraling downward fast and the questions are rolling in. Doors are closing, shadows are coming, and I’m hanging on tight. God never promised us the road would be easy, but I at least need to find more peace in HIS arms so I can be a better blessing to others until I figure out how to cope better with what’s going on. Or maybe I’m just moving onto new paths? Then pray for acceptance. Guidance. Wisdom. Love. That perfect love that cast out fear. Thank you for your prayers, you are always in mine as well. Be blessed. :)

It was a pleasure and privilege as always. Funky.. funky times right now. Writing has really taken off in directions I totally was not expecting. Writing for/with Steve Sjogren these days in regards to Servant Evangelism. Oldest son Austin is going to Philly on a mission trip Friday with our student ministry. We’ve told him if God tells him to stay - he’s staying. He’s a junior in high school this year, but is totally surrendered to God first. Hubby’s resume is out and about places. Far too much more… Life is such an incredible adventure! And I am filled with joy even in the midst of some heartache/pain.

Thanks for including us in this small bit of your trip. Continued prayers related to giving me the strength and the words I need to help my wife understand Chirst’s role in our lives, and the continued recover of my dad from cancer.

Sorry, one more thought.. please pray that the church I attend, through thoughtful prayer, make a decision on who our new teaching pastor will be and that decision will move our church forward in a unified, positive, God centered way.

I always feel so inadequate posting prayer requests - I know it’s dumb, but it feels like I should think up something really big like world hunger when I have my little “big” things on my mind. Anyway (nothing like apologizing before giving your prayer request…), please pray for my family’s financial adjustment as I recently resigned from my job as a teacher to stay home with our kids… AND for world hunger :)

Hi Anne! I enjoy reading your blog. I’d love for you to pray for my friends’ new daughter, Ella. She was born 07/18/08 at 31 weeks and currently weighs 2lbs 15oz. Here is a picture of her: http://web.mac.com/kentwiginton/Ella/Photos_1/Pages/Ella-Day_4.html
They were on vacation when she was born, so they are 10 hours away from home, indefinitely. Please pray for her breathing to get stronger, for her to be able to digest milk, for her to gain weight, and against infections. I really appreciate it.

Work is crazy - i hate 60 hr weeks, i want to return to normal, but the office politics and some serious projects require this type of attention for a short time - prayer for wisdom is always appreciated.

I have lost a lot of weight recently. I am at the point where dropping any more weight would make me underweight, but I don’t know how to stop and I want to loose a few more. It seems that in the pursuit of perfection finding that perfect stopping point is really hard.
