check out my big cupcakes
September 26th, 2008 @ 1:37 pm

yesterday we talked about balls and it offended some people.  so i thought i’d come up with a female euphemism to complete the equation today. :)

my friend brandi (who is also the boss man’s wife) and i went to lunch, and more importantly - dessert - yesterday.  we visited gigi’s cupcakes over by vanderbilt and, as boomama would say,

OH MY LANDS!!!

Cupcakes!

heaven.

cupcakes are my kryptonite. i can never say no. and now that i have been to gigi’s, i fear i will be visiting over and over and over again…and that will just be tomorrow.

what’s your favorite sweet treat?

Cupcakes are my sweetheart too. I mean sweet treat. I’m right there with you, and I’m going to pretend that little shop doesn’t exist.

I eat too many of these. When I was suffering my recent costume dilemma my too honest middle child said, “You’re gonna have to loose a LOT of weight to wear that costume.

Which made me immediately want a cupcake.

We have a place near me called Sweet that has big huge cupcakes like your picture. I have had a different one everytime I have been there.

My favorite part is the really COLD organic milk that they serve with the cupcakes. I could drink a gallon of that milk in one sitting!

Those look like nothing more than a medium to legitimate the delivery of icing into your body.

That is a lot of icing.

I can do without cake or cupcakes but don’t you dare try to steal my Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream! :) Ice cream is my weakness period especially if there is any chocolate in it.

Ah, I miss Gigis! That was one of my favorite places in Nashville; try the carrot cake ones, and the malt frosting is good too. Of course, I never found a flavor there that I didn’t like.

I was in New York this past April and visited Magnolia Bakery. I had the red velvet cupcake. :) They had T-shirts for sale that said, “Cupcakes make peole happy!” Love that.

ANYTHING that’s even kinda quality chocolate… or ice cream. Easy to please, really.
This year, however, has been the “year of the cupcake” for 4 outs 5 of our kids’ b-days!
