Oxford England to see where CS Lewis n JRR Tolkien taught and created their worlds, Narnia and Middle Earth. I would also go to the Bird and Baby pub and drink a pint and see where they sat around with the Inklings talking about literature and reading their works. THAT is where I want to go.
AND New Zeeland where they filmed Lord of the Rings and the Narnia movies…yes, I’m a geek.

Also, Vladivostok, Russia.
A little bit less, Chile.
And Peru. Macchu Picchu.
Kamchatka would be rad for the natural hotsprings.
Lake Tana, Ethiopia, for the Ark history. And the culture.
Ah. So many places.

this may not count, but a couple of years ago Kate and I went to Italy. We spent 2 1/2 hours in Rome (for various reasons we couldn’t stay longer). I really want to go back. I feel that even though I saw the Colosseum, I didn’t really see Rome.
Does that count?
if not, Ireland

San Francisco. I think I could easily spend a week eating Sourdough bread and Ghirardelli chocolate and touring Alcatraz.
I felt the same way about NYC, and I went about three years ago. I was misty-eyed seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time, even though I saw it from about 1.5 miles away across the river.
Thanks for resurrecting my travel bug.

Okay I totally want to go to New York. Seriously. When I was a senior in high school, I was accepted to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. Too bad 9/11 happened and my parents absolutey did not feel comfortable sending me far away for school. So needless to say I have the itch to check out the city. I am not a city girl by any means, so I probably would have hated living there. But I gotta check out Broadway, Serendipity and FAO Schwartz!

I’ve never been to Boston in the Fall … ok, sorry for the lame VeggieTales reference!
But seriously, I’ve been to 43 states in my 28 years … the ones I haven’t been to are Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Alaska, Hawai, Wyoming, and South Dakota. So I’d like to make it to 50.
I’d also like to visit England and Ireland … and southern Africa. Those places would be way cool to visit.

Ha — this is funny. Where I HAVE been is Lima, Cuzco, Macchu Picchu, the northern Andes mountains, the Amazon Rainforest, New York, Connecticut, China, Hong Kong, India, Australia, London, California, Texas, the Bahamas, and pretty much every southern state in the USA. Where I have NOT been? The town of Laffayette, Louisiana — 1 hour from where I was born. And I REALLY want to go there, but I just haven’t done it.
